The Speaker Schedule for WordCamp Vernon is up! We’ve charged ahead and managed to wrangle up TWO TRACKS of speakers with presentations that are guaranteed to educate, entertain and enthrall you with their WordPress goodness. 🙂
Track A presentations are aimed at the experienced WordPress user, while Track B is focused on the novice WordPress user. That said, feel free to attend either track and any presentation you feel is interesting!

Want to help out but not sure how? Many of our volunteer jobs don’t require any knowledge of WordPress, just a cheerful, helpful attitude.
Check-in and Registration – Check in registered attendees and hand out lanyards. Being really awesome with alphabetical order helps here.
Swag and t-shirt station – Pre-conference prep work includes folding/rolling shirts and organizing swag. Handing out t-shirts and swag on the day.
Video – We need volunteers to act as camera operators. Great gig, since you can watch sessions at the same time. Video Experience REQUIRED.
Food/Beverage – The catering staff have this covered for the most part, but it would be helpful to have a few people keeping an eye on things and help around lunchtime.
Happiness Bar (Afternoon Only) – Answer questions and help WordPress users fix problems with their sites. Must be able to show level of expertise to be selected for this gig.
Emcees – Introduce speakers/sessions and keep things running on time. Keep an eye on the clock and give speakers a heads up when they are down to 10 and 5 minutes, and let them know when their time is up. Brevity and wit a must.
Runners – Work with the emcees, video people, speakers, and everyone else to keep things running smoothly. Make sure there’s water for speakers, and provide support as needed for other event staff.
